In aflevering 2 van 'Wat zullen ze zeggen, Meltem?' gaat Meltem Halaceli in gesprek met actrice, theatermaakster en zangeres Meral Polat over de feministische waarden die zij heeft meegekregen van haar ouders. Haar vader was een feminist en speelde een grote rol in haar opvoeding en beroepskeuze. In dit interview vertelt Meral wat haar vader mee heeft gemaakt in zijn jeugd en hoe de onderdrukking die hij ervaarde als koerdische jongen van invloed waren op zijn latere levenshouding. Haar vader doorbrak traditionele patronen en gaf Meral net zo veel vrijheid als haar broertje. Recent vond ze zijn schriften volgeschreven met gedichten over migratie, liefde en het leven.
